Picture a man in a pair of flip flops. Where is he? Is he
at a party? Or is he at a laundry mat? At one time, flip flops
and men were only seen together in lounging atmospheres or
on the feet of young College guys. Even the word flip flop
seems like something youthful and fun. So why would a man
wear a flip flop? At the present time, a man would wear a
flip flop because it’s hot, and these particular pair
of flip flops not only keep his feet cool, but just so happen
to match the outfit that he’s wearing. This just comes
to show that men’s flip flops are growing big in the
masculine world of fashion.
 Now that men are beginning to adopt flip flops as a acceptable
option of footwear, many manufactures are beginning to design
and produce many types of flip flops that can accommodate
all types of masculine scenario’s besides lounging and
college. Men’s flip flops are beginning to be made in
many times of fabrics so that they meet the desires of all
the different types of styles out there that men have a tendency
to prefer. Of course, unlike a women’s flip flop, men’s
flip flops cannot be accented by jewelry and lace designs.
So in effect, men’s flip flops are made by materials
and in designs that are interpreted to be a masculine sign.
Also, men’s flip flops
are beginning to be geared towards men activities. Not only
will you find a men’s flip flop that is meant to match
an outfit, but you will find men’s flip flops that are
meant to accommodate an activity. For example, there are men’s
flip flops for the sporty man. These flip flops sole (excuse
the pun) purpose is to support and provide continuous care
for the foot of a man who frequent the sporting atmosphere.
These types of men’s flip flops are usually very soft
and have a gel like material at the base, assumable, for the
purpose of support and protection for the “sporty foot”.
As far as popularity is concerned, the men’s flip flop
is also rising to popularity because high status and men (think
those that are celebrities) are often seen and photograph
in the comfort of a men’s flip flop. This is only more
evidence of the fact that the men’s flip flop is not
only fashionable, but extremely comfortable. After months
of early morning hours and late nights to film some of the
great movies and record some of the great albums, many male
celebrities find refuge in a men’s flip flop. Considering
that, you can only assume that the men’s flip flop is
fashionable, because no celebrity thrives to be on a list
of fashion disasters in any of American’s magazines.
